Junior - Disney
Week July 5-9th
Pre-school (ages 3 1/2-5): 9-10:30am and Elementary (ages 6-8): 11am-2pm
This fun and creative week involves singing, dancing, and acting lessons for our littlest
performers. They will be learning all the skills involved in musical theatre through improvisation, creative play, dance and
song. Children will explore and enact well-known Disney stories and songs from Disney musicals on the big stage. The week
culminates in a showcase where parents and friends will be invited to sit in the audience and cheer on our performers! Showcase
2pm on Friday.
ACT Out East - Audition Week, August 2nd-6th
10am-3pm, Ages 11 and up
Learn to audition like a pro! This week involves advanced
classes in voice and acting in preparation for any audition. The classes will help you to choose appropriate songs and monologues
for a prepared audition as well as increase your skills for a “cold reading”. We will work with you individually
and in groups throughout the week to prepare for our end of week audition showcase. On Friday, Manhattan's Emmy-Award Winning
Casting Director and Acting Coach Brett Goldstein will work with students and provide feedback. Each student will get a chance
to audition individually. Limited space available. Please bring two prepared songs and ideas for monologues to the first
class.
ACT Out East - Mini
Musical “Grease”, August 16th-20th
10am-3pm, Ages 9 and up
Prepare for a fun, exciting week of classic Musical Theatre!
This week will consist of classes in acting, voice and dance. We will be using scenes and songs from “Grease”
to teach skills and give our students an experience in performing on the big stage. Auditions will be held on the first day
to cast our mini-musical showcase. Family and friends will be invited to our showcase to see students live on stage,
Friday at 2pm.
ACT Out East - Write Your Own Pop Musical! August 23rd-27th
10am-3pm,
Ages 9 and up
This
will be a fun filled week of learning how to write your very own musical as a group. The possibilities are endless! Classes
will include playwriting, acting, voice, and dance. We will use pop music this week as the songs to be included in your story
line. Come with ideas and your favorite songs! Your original pop musical will be showcased at the end of the week (Friday
at 2pm) for your friends and family.
